SAVE UKRAINE charity project
When I lived in the Czech Republic for a year, I became friends with a group of Ukrainian carpenters. Since that time, Ukraine has been a country that is very close to war and has a very different world view from mine, which is a peaceful one. This was a bit of a shock to me at the time, but I found them to be very simple, friendly, and humane people.
And now, in reality, "war" has appeared in front of our eyes. Several of the friends are at the front in Ukraine. I donated as much as I can for them, but I am too helpless and limited to do it by myself.
With this in mind, I created a public domain illustration to support Ukraine. I myself will use it for donation, and I would also like to ask anyone who wants to support Ukraine to feel free to use this illustration.
Now that the war situation in Ukraine is changing rapidly, I am just praying for the war to end. But after that, it takes so much time and money to restore destroyed cities and the life of citizens. So I myself would like to use this illustration for ongoing support activities, and I would be happy if this illustration can be useful for your long-term support.

チェコで一年間暮らしていたとき、ウクライナ人の大工たちと友だちになりました。当時からウクライナは戦争と距離が近い国で、平和ぼけした僕とはまるで違う世界観を持っていました。そのことは当時の自分にとって少なからずショックだったけれど、彼らはものすごく素朴で人懐っこくて、人情味のある人たちでした。
そして今、現実にそれが「戦争」という形で目の前に現れてしまいました。チェコで出会った友人たちのうち数人は、ウクライナの戦地にとどまっています。そんな彼らのためにできる限りの寄付をしてみるけれど、自分一人ではあまりにも非力だし限界があります。
そう考えて、ウクライナ支援のためにパブリックドメインのイラストレーションを制作しました。僕自身もこれを使って友人たちのために募金活動をし、またウクライナのために支援活動をしたい人には、誰でも自由にこのイラストを使ってもらいたいと思います。
ウクライナの戦況が目まぐるしく変化する今は、ひたすら戦争が終わることを祈っています。でもその後、破壊された街や生活が元に戻るまでにはかなりの時間がかかるだろうし、もっともっとたくさんのお金が必要になる。だから、僕自身はこのイラストを使って継続的に支援活動を行いたいし、長期的な支援のためにこのイラストが役立てばうれしいです。
