Asuka Okajima is an illustrator and comic artist based in Leipzig, creating narrative-driven, character-focused work through hand-drawn illustration. Originally from Japan and trained at Tokyo University of the Arts, his practice blends Asian and European visual sensibilities.
He works primarily with hand-drawn techniques, creating gentle, intuitive illustrations for editorial, books, and cultural projects. Beyond client work, Asuka runs SEA SONS PRESS, an independent publishing initiative, and creates Skizzenbuch, an illustrated essay column for Japanese readers.
